The Nursing Profession is the noblest of all professions and in great demand all over the world, offering a highly rewarding career. The RK College and school of Nursing aims to prepare dedicated and expert nurses to contribute to the development of emerging healthcare systems in public and private health care organizations as well as community services.

Our Diploma & B.Sc Nursing degree course provide high achieving undergraduate students the opportunity to extend themselves intellectually and clinically, thereby rendering quality care to the general public through our hospital and community services.

Our college The RK College and School of Nursing is another home to our students. It is constructed in a very vast landscape of 50 acres. It is surrounded with cool and calm environment. We have very spacious class rooms with proper ventilation and comfortable seating arrangements. Our classrooms are fitted with LCD projector. Our college has very good laboratory facilities like foundation lab, MCH lab, Community Lab, Nutrition lab, Computer Lab, Anatomy and Physiology Lab etc. as per the INC norms and standards with the latest equipment’s and supplies. We have an excellent auditorium with 500 seated capacities to organize and celebrate programs.

The RK College and School of Nursing is a constituent of Keerthana Trust (R). Affiliated to RGUHS, Bangalore, Recognized by the Indian Nursing Council, KNC, and Government of Karnataka.

We here believe in providing quality education both theory and in practical under qualified and efficient Professors & lectures to develop critical thinking skills, and competencies and face the challenges in the present world.The college is attached to Maddur Medical Centre [MMC] which is the Parent Hospital of our college. Our students will get good exposure and experience at our hospital. The teacher-student ratio is maintained for comprehensive teaching in the learning process for Diploma & BS.c (nursing) program.

Our college established in 2019, which aim in quality education and prove excellence in providing services towards the emerging health care delivery system. We offer Diploma Nursing, B.SC nursing courses. We have well experienced, excellent, dedicated faculty towards the student’s success and achievement. Every year our students name had enrolled in university top rank list.

We have an excellent infrastructure with conducive learning environment like library facilities, internet and also hostel facilities with all the available amenities to support the student study and pleasant stay here.

Our campus has excellent playground for volleyball, basketball, cricket, table tennis, badminton etc. which facilitates and motivates our students to be physically and mentally fit. Our institution also provides Cafeteria, Stationary shop, Browsing centre, Printing, Xeroxing Etc.

Common Facilities Available On The Campus:

  • IQAC is situated in the ground floor next to office room facilitating easy approach to monitor and maintain overall quality of the institution. Separate spaces are designated for Women’s Cell, Student Counselling and Grievance Cell, Placement and Training Cell.

  • There is a separate staff room for teachers and cabins for HODs. There are adequate numbers of separate restrooms for boys, girls and staffs..

  • A water purification unit is installed which provides pure drinking water to students and staff members. The water facility is regularly monitored by the IQAC-Maintenance Cell for hygiene. The campus has cafeteria and canteen providing refreshment facilities for staff and students.

  • The transport department maintains 10 buses which help students and staff members to commute to the college campus from surrounding areas and this facility extended is free of cost. The college bus is also utilized for other purposes like industrial and institutional visits, participation of students in seminars and conferences held at other parts of the city.

  • The college has telephone facilities as well as internet connecting all the departments, library, labs, computer lab and office. There is a specified parking space available in the campus environment for the use of staff and students.

    The costly equipment are connected to power plugs with UPS, the labs are air conditioned to maintain precision and avoid dust. Along with UPS a stand by Generator facility is available during load shedding and power cuts. Campus has adequate number of bore wells for continuous water supply. For drinking water, water purifiers are installed.

CLINICAL FACILITIES

The College is attached to Maddur Medical Centre (MMC) which is the parent Hospital of our college and affiliated with MIMS Hospital, Mandya, DIMHANS (Dharwad), for clinical exposure and experience.

Academic Excellence

The academic program at RK College and School of Nursing, Maddur, places an emphasis on every aspect of our student’s growth and development. We take advantage of the natural curiosity students possess by having our teachers present new information in creative ways and teach through exploratory experiences.

Our general curriculum includes a variety of challenging courses that meet or exceed state requirements. Suitable class sizes and exceptional, qualified teachers allow RK College and School of Nursing, Maddur to offer an intimate and inclusive educational environment, while also ensuring each student receives the individualized attention and support they need.

Also our all the batches syllabus will get complete within time having minimum one month prior examination, in this period usually students have to go unit and sub unit and entire subject examination as per schedule time, Regarding practical’s our students are extremely ready for upcoming future challenges, because they will be trained instantly soon after the theory classes in the setting of lab and in the parent as well as in the affiliated hospitals.
